I’ve spent nearly thirty years in enterprise software at a world‑leading financial firm, working through every part of the Software Development Lifecycle and leading international technology teams along the way.
What I enjoy most is solving problems with people — building tools and platforms that quietly streamline the work. Lately that means founding Eyes in the Boat, a rowing platform, and shipping a steady stream of small, sharp tools for the things I keep running into.
I lean on AI as a serious instrument — to develop rapidly and securely, and to embed into products in ways that earn their keep. Not chatbots for chatbots’ sake, but AI with utility: in Eyes in the Boat, for example, a rower can photograph boat damage and the system reasons about severity, parts and repair routing for the club captain. The interesting work is in choosing where AI quietly removes friction and where humans should still be in the loop.
